How to answer in Japan

Start with はじめまして and finish with どうぞよろしくお願いします. Use 〜と申します for your name, not 〜です. Keep it short: name, age, where you are from, one hobby.

はじめまして。ビカスと申します。二十五歳です。ネパールから来ました。趣味はサッカーです。どうぞよろしくお願いします。

Nice to meet you. My name is Bikash. I am twenty-five. I came from Nepal. My hobby is football. I look forward to working with you.

ビカスです。

“I'm Bikash.” Your name alone is not an introduction. The interviewer is waiting for three or four more sentences.
